National Cadet Corps (NCC) CELL

Introduction

NCC is a voluntary organization for college students. NCC trains the Cadets to become responsive individuals, sensitive to the needs of the community. It aims at developing a network of a culture characterized by hard work, sincerity of the purpose, and the ideals of selfless service with a secular outlook. The NCC Unit was Introduced at Rai Saheb Bhanwar Singh College, in the year 2017-2018. NCC unit being led by Captain. Colonel Nigam Singh. The college has The N.C.C. unit, especially for Girls. This Unit is observed and guided by the ‘5’ MP Girls Battalion Narmadapuram with a strength of 207 cadets. Enrollment in N.C.C. is Taken place through selection in the first week of August every year.

Objectives

  • 1. To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
  • 2. Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all paths of life and be always available for the service of the Nation.
  • 3. To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces

Moto

"UNITY AND DISCIPLINE" (EKTA AUR ANUSHASAN)"

The need for having a motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11th, Aug. 1978. The final decision for the selection of “Unity and Discipline” as the motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12th Oct. 1980.
The NCC is headed by a Director General with the rank of Lieutenant-General. He is assisted by two Additional Director Generals (A and B) of two-star rank (Major-General, Rear-Admiral, or Air Vice-Marshal). Five Brigadier level officers and other civil officials also assist him. The Headquarters is located in Delhi.

  • 1. Community Development Training.
  • 2. Training during Annual Training Camps at Bn. level.
  • 3. Training during Centrally organized camps at various levels.
  • 4. Training during attachment camps with regular Army.
  • 5. Training during National level camps (EBSB, TSC, CATC,).
  • 6. Training during various competitions (NCC sports, rifle shooting, obstacles, Map reading, etc.)
  • 7. Weapon Training provide during the NCC Weekly Parade.
  • 8. Various Social Activities (Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation, Clean India Campaign), Awareness Rely (AIDS Awareness, Save Girl Child, Traffic Awareness).
