chemistry LABORATORY

INTRODUCTION

At Rai Saheb Bhanwar Singh College has state-of-the-art Chemistry laboratory with high end equipment and Chemicals, working since 2002. Chemistry laboratory experiments play an important role in understanding the concepts of chemistry.

Rai Saheb Bhanwar Singh College, Chemistry lab can presently accommodate 52 students working at the same time in a session. Students perform the experiment in a group of two to learn team work and help each other for the same. The heights and widths of the furniture are all created keeping in mind the Indian physique of students. The lab has proper ventilation with sufficient windows for fresh air and lighting.

All practical performed in the labs are under the supervision of faculty member and a lab attendant for assistance. Safety and security measures are in place and available.

EQUIPMENT

Chemistry Laboratory at Rai Saheb Bhanwar Singh College has all the necessary equipment for the preparation of samples and standards for various analyses of liquid and solid samples.

The Chemistry Lab has variety of sophisticated instruments like Chromatography Separation, Digital PH Meter, Steam Distillation unit, Chemical Balance, Hot air oven, Water Bath, etc. Along with other glassware, fume hoods a muffle furnace, a centrifuge, and ovens. More specialized equipment includes nitrogen gas purged desiccators and glove boxes to provide an inert atmosphere for the study of ASR (alkali-silica reaction) gels etc. The equipment are all calibrated for zero error. The lab is created to be fire resistant and handle any kind of mishap.
