LIBRARY

The College library is a magnificent and a very popular place for students to learn. The library has been an important part of college; it continues to support the academic study of college student. The modern collection is superbly stocked and it is kept up to date with regular purchases. Rai Saheb Bhanwar Singh College has more than 20000 books available to serve the knowledge of the student. College also has e-library facility.

LIBRARY RULES

  • The Library is open to all the students and staffs of the college.
  • Readers are not allowed to enter the library with their college bag.
  • Readers are prohibited from engaging in any activity which may disturb or distract the attention of other readers and will result in severe disciplinary action.
  • No reader shall damage, write or make marks on any library book.
  • Each student of the college will be issued two books at a time.
  • Date, label and book pockets shall not be tampered, serious action will be taken on any violation of this rule.
  • Library books are not transferable.
  • A reader who fails to return a book on the due date will be charged a sum of Rs. 5 per day as a fine till he/ she returns the book. Such students will not be allowed to use the library till the book is returned and fines are paid.
  • At the end of each semester or before receiving the examination admit card, the student should return all the books to the library.
  • The librarian in college may recall any book at any time even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
  • Dictionaries and books which might be difficult to replace and such other books declared as reference books shall not be available on loan. Such books can be issued for reading in the library itself.
  • Readers shall be responsible for any damage done to the books or other property belonging to the library of the college. If the replacement of the books or other properties is not possible, four times the value of the book/ property may be collected from the concerned student.
